Eleanore is a writer, artist, editor, and educator, born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Though her primary genre is poetry, she approaches every kind of making with care and intentionality. Her artistic career began on the stage; as a young person she participated in local theatrical productions, the Lookingglass Youth Ensemble, and Louder Than A Bomb poetry festival. She moved to Boulder, Colorado where she spent six years falling in love with the Rocky Mountains. Her day jobs have included being a barista, café manager, bookseller, bar wench, caretaker, and cook. Her time in the service industry heavily informs the politics and physicality of her writing. She believes in cultivating community and finding common ground through art, writing, food, and conversations around a fire.
